AAA

Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland Architecture Association

The AAA had been running for almost 60 years when COVID-19 hit, and plans for the annual awards night were scuppered multiple years in a row by lockdowns.

Towards the end of 2022, work began on reviving/renewing the AAA. My contributions to this were the revamping of the website and social media, redesigning the logo and branding, and a considerable contribution to the planning and execution of the 2023 Tāmaki Makaurau Architecture Awards (TMAAs).

2023 TMAAs

The 2023 TMAAs were held at the Auckland Old Folks Association. I designed promotional material for the event, and, correlated entries, constructed presentation boards from upcycled wall panels, event set up, and gave a speech thanking our incredible sponsors and volunteers.

Photos of the event can be found here*

*as the photographs include pictures of other people and their work, I do not feel it is appropriate to include them directly on my website.

As a direct result of my involvement in the TMAAs, designing of the above links, organising meetings, and representing the AAA at various events, I was voted in as Co-Chair of the AAA.
Further to this new role, I have been involved in the setting up of monthly bulletins, incorporating the association and sorting through historic AAA content to showcase 60 years of architecture in Tāmaki Makaurau.
